J. Russell Cundiff, 76, of 102 E. Pike St., Attica died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette Friday, Sept. 17, 1976 at 6:45 a.m. He had been seriously ill since May. He was born near Pine Village, August 25, 1900 the son of Silas and Susie Stoner Cundiff. He formerly lived in Pine Village. He had been a resident of Attica since 1927. He was married June 8, 1927 in Attica to Dora M. Harper who survives. He was a graduate of Pine Village High School and had been a meat cutter most of his life having been employed at the formerly A&P Store in Attica. His last employment was with Kroger, where he retired in 1965. Surviving with his wife is one daughter, Mrs. William R. (Jo Anne) Royal of Lafayette, one sister Mrs. Robert (Elsie) Boxrud of Dothan, Alabama, one brother Ray Cundiff of Williamsport and three grandchildren. Funeral services held at the Dale Maus Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. Those who served as pallbearers were Ray Vories, Ercie Duncan, John Bossaer, Bob Johnson, Bob Hanthorne, and Ira Van Hook.--waw
